Cyveillance Appoints Balsamo as CFO

 

Arlington, Va., June 2, 2003—Cyveillance®, a private company and leading provider of 100% Relevant eBusiness Intelligence™, today announced that it has named Philip J. Balsamo as CFO. Balsamo served most recently as CFO of Vastera, Inc. where he guided that company through rapid expansion and a successful IPO in September of 2000.

In making the announcement, chairman and chief executive officer Panos Anastassiadis stated that "with our continued growth, it is important that we expand our depth of experience that can ensure best practices and add new capabilities supporting our strategic goals for expansion."

In addition to Vastera, Balsamo has also served in key senior financial positions with INTERSOLV, Inc., an application enablement software provider; Government Marketing Services, Inc., a computer reseller; MBI Business Centers and the Buchanan & Company. He is a certified public accountant and holds BS in Accounting from Penn State University.

Mr. Balsamo was also a finalist in the NVTC CFO of the Year in 2002.
